Opportunities to watch Hellbound? in a public setting are beginning to wind down as we prepare to release the film on DVD, iTunes, etc. on May 28. However, this month you can still catch Hellbound? in a couple of locations.
On Sunday, Feb. 3 at 11:30am, we will play at the Magic Lantern Theater in Spokane as part of the Spokane International Film Festival. More info here.
Then on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 7pm, we will screen at Regent College in Vancouver, BC. Admission is just $5. I’ll be there along with some Regent faculty to do Q&A afterwards.
Looking ahead to March, we will have our last theatrical screening at the Operahouse Theater in De Witt, IA on St. Patrick’s Day.
In other news, we have already made a couple of broadcast deals for an abridged (52-minute) version of the film. I’ll announce details on that soon.
In April, we will be screening at Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA. No firm date yet but we will announce it when we have it.
And it looks like I may be returning to Washington, DC in mid-May to do a pair of back-to-back Q&A screenings. More info coming.
In the meantime, I’m also doing several Q&A sessions via Skype for profs who have purchased educational screening licenses. I’m willing to do the same thing for other groups, so be sure to contact us if you’re interested.
Finally, don’t forget the DVD and digital release of Hellbound? on May 28. I’m still working on special features for the DVD, which is somewhat of an onerous task. I’m planning to add clips from various folks who didn’t make it into the film as well as additional clips from people who are in the film. I will also add a director’s commentary and a few other goodies.
I’d like to be one of the first to get Hellbound? on DVD since my area didn’t have a showing near Boone, NC. I thought it was going to be available through Amazon, so I was going to add it to my Wishlist, but i don’t see it listed there-just a bunch of Horror movies with the same title…sigh. Will I be able to order it through your site and can you tell me what the cost will be?
The DVD will be out on May 28, the same day we release on iTunes, etc.
