Not too sure about the UK, but we in Germany do indeed have this TV tax (actually it’s also for radio and internet, az a lower fare). And apart from the many problems with the actual wayit is organised, I think it’s an okay thing, because it is at least some help against niveauless TV channels. We have those too, but we also have our to some extent watchable state TV channels, like the British have their BBC, which have a good reputation as I hear…

  2. British Broadcasting Corporation, actually, not company, but hey. I wondered when he was going to reel in the analogy, but he did get there in the end. Kevin, I do hope you ordered yourself some eternal torment using the toll free number.

  3. He has a good point in that Christians ought not to engage in “thought police”, but I don’t believe he did quite enough to sell a torture-believer that there is indeed another very biblical and reasonable alternative to that doctrine, even in an introductory way.

  4. The word “hell” is an english word. The Bible was written in Hebrew and Greek! The Greek and Hebrew words translated “hell” don’t mean “eternal torment”. Get a concordance and do the research for yourself!
