Brilliant, personable and dry-witted are three words I would use to describe Dr. Kreeft. All three characteristics are on display in this video. Enjoy!
Catholic apologist Peter Kreeft on hell from Kevin Miller on Vimeo.
Yes Dr. Kreeft, when humans are consumed by fire, ashes are left behind. That *is* annihilationism, not merely annihilationism “in a sense.”
“And you shall tread down the wicked, for they will be ashes under the soles of your feet, on the day when I act, says the LORD of hosts.” -Malachi 4:3
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matt 19:26

If you want to find ultimate annihilation as the last word for your enemies then that is what you will find. If you “desire that all come to repentance” and “are not willing that any should perish” in alignment with the desire of your Father then that is what you will find. We always see what we want to see. What is it you want to see, Ronnie?

Speaking to Jerusalem of Sodom and Samaria God said:
“I will restore their fortunes, both the fortunes of Sodom and her daughters, and the fortunes of Samaria and her daughters, and I will restore your own fortunes in their midst, that you may bear your disgrace and be ashamed of all that you have done, becoming a consolation to them. As for your sisters, Sodom and her daughters shall return to their former state, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former state, and you and your daughters shall return to your former state.” (From Ezekiel 16 -see entire chapter)
“Annihilation itself is no death to evil. Only good where evil was, is evil dead. An evil thing must live with its evil until it chooses to be good. That alone is the slaying of evil.” George MacDonald
Amen, Philip
“We always see what we want to see.”
That’s demonstrably false.
But I’m glad you can admit that *your* conclusions about what Scripture teaches are determined by what you want to see.
