Just a quick post here to promote our Facebook event pages. It's a great way for us to get a sense of who is planning to see the movie in which city. It's far, far from a scientific measurement, but it's fun to see who is potentially going to be at the theater with you. You can see all of our Facebook event pages here. Find the one for your city and join it. Also, most of our bookings are minimum one-week runs. The only ones that aren't (Nashville, Bellingham, Norfolk, etc.) are indicated as such

The dates and cities where Hellbound? will be playing we know, but for many places, the showtimes we do not. Here's the reason: Big chain theaters like AMC, Regal and Cineplex typically don't release their showtimes (and sometimes not even the specific theater in which a movie will be playing) until the Tuesday of the week it opens. They like to wait until they get the previous weekend's actual box office figures, because that determines which movies they're holding over, which movies they're canceling, moving to a smaller or larger theater, a different location, etc. That makes it

Check out the Upcoming Events section on the home page for Christ Church Cathedral in Nashville. That's right, they're advertising our Sept. 12 screening at the Belcourt Theater. How cool is that? All thanks to my new friend, the Rev. Joshua M. Caler. Look out, Nashville, here we

As we get closer to our opening date--Sept. 12 in Nashville and Sept. 21 in Dallas, NYC and Minneapolis--we are stepping up promotional efforts in all of our release cities. If we were a big budget studio film, this would be easy. Just spend millions of dollars buying ads on buses, billboards, radio and television. Seeing as we're just a small indie film, we have to resort to other tactics--such as recruiting our friends, family and proto-fans to help us out. So if that's you, and you live in one

If you visit our theaters page, you'll notice we have "To be announced" under several Canadian cities. All that means is we don't know exactly which theater we will be in yet, because Cineplex doesn't typically decide that until they see how the movie is performing in other cities, how well other films are doing, etc. In fact, even with Hollywood studio pics, they often don't assign a theater or showtimes until the Monday of the week it opens. So for now, just know we are opening in those cities. You'll just have to keep an eye on

I don't recall Einstein ever threatening people that they would burn in hell if they refused to accept his theory of general relativity. The same goes for Newton, Kepler, Copernicus, Archimedes, Planck, Bohr, Curie, Bacon, Faraday, Feynman, Darwin, Hubble and a host of other scientists who revolutionized the way we understand the universe. There was no need for them to threaten us with hellfire, because the accuracy of their calculations and conceptual models could easily be measured against the real world. If they were wrong, we refined or rejected their theories. But if they were correct and we refused to

The original soundtrack for Hellbound?, written and performed by Marcus Zuhr, will be released worldwide on Sept. 12, the same day we are previewing the film in Nashville. You'll be able to purchase the soundtrack on iTunes, Amazon, Amazon On Demand (physical cd's), Zune, Rhapsody, Nokia, iHeartRadio, VerveLife, Google Play, simfy, Deezer, Muve Radio, Rdio, MediaNet, Spotify and Myspace Music. One can only speculate as to how quickly it will end up on torrent sites. Thankfully, none of the people reading this visit such

This photo was taken today at the House of James in Abbotsford, BC. Many thanks to owner Lando Klassen for accommodating us! He's also going to allow us to set up our big, black tent in the parking lot on Oct. 6. See you there!

It's difficult to believe that after 19 long months, we are just 7 days away from our first public screening of Hellbound? And it's not just a screening. Several members of the film making team will be there, in addition to "cast members" Frank Schaeffer and Michael Hardin. Everything gets underway at 7pm at the Belcourt Theater in Nashville. We'll screen the film, do Q&A in the theater, and then head across the street to the Fido Cafe. If you're in the area, you don't want to miss this. So
