We just confirmed a one-week engagement at the Market Street Cinema in Little Rock, AR, starting October 19. That brings us to 20 US cities so far, and that's just the beginning! Also added recently are one-night bookings in Norfolk, VA and Bellingham, WA. Canadians, look for an announcement this Tuesday re: our release plans for the Great White North. We are partnering directly with Cineplex to bring you the goods. If your city isn't on our theater list, make sure you demand the movie on our web site. Speaking of which, so far Raleigh, NC is leading the

In light of my recent blog posts addressing what I see as significant problems inherent in Reformed Christianity, penal substitution views of the atonement and the like, I thought it might be helpful to post this outtake from Brian McLaren's Hellbound? interview. Enjoy! Is God Violent? Brian McLaren gives his POV from Kevin Miller on

We have created a new PDF event poster that you can customize to fit your local screening. All you do is open the file, input the details of where and when Hellbound? will be playing, and print it out. You may even want to throw in an endorsement, a brief description of the film or a recipe for 5-minute brownies. Be bold! Be creative! And once you've made your poster and posted it somewhere, take a picture and either send it to us or post it to our

This is turning into quite the rabbit trail, so let me quickly retrace the path for you.
    • On August 18 I posted an outtake from Justin Taylor's interview for Hellbound?, which asked whether Calvinism turns God into a moral monster.

    • That same day, I posted a long response to Justin's response, wherein I defending my line of reasoning and pushed it even

Traffic to this blog exploded earlier this week after Justin Taylor and I had a bit of a back and forth over an outtake (posted below) from his Hellbound? interview. Today, Patheos blogger David French weighed in with his thoughts. He sided Taylor's view that God is perfectly justified in using violence against his enemies even though Christ taught us not to use violence against ours. David falls back on two classic proof texts that are often used to justify such a position:
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are
